Your role
  • Contribute to the preparation of seasonal menu’s, specials menus and ensure quality control and service standards are maintained including:
  • Ensuring all prepared/cooked food is in line with the high quality food standards
  • Assisting with the training of new casual and part time kitchen staff and ensuring they deliver on quality control
  • Ensure food purchasing, preparation and cooking is completed daily and in line with the quality standards including:
    • Submitting all food purchasing requirements to the Head Chef/Sous Chef
    • Checking the quality of food delivered and ensuring all products are stored correctly and safely
    • Overseeing direct reports to ensure all food is prepared daily
  • Carry out and ensuring food safety compliance at all times including:
  • Maintaining food safety policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain effective collaborative relationships with kitchen staff and front of house staff
  • Working effectively with other departments and divisions
  • Keep up-to-date with relevant internal and external changes including:
    • Relevant food safety legislation/regulations
    • Half acre policies and procedures
